Build on land ranged in 1662 to Jacques Van Slyck, son of a Mohawk woman, Otstoch, and Cornelis Van Slyck. Site of Van Slyck’s tavern in 1671. Structure replaces the buildings destroyed in the Great Fire of 1819.
